Specific Non FDA-Approved Conditions Treated by O2 Health Lab include:
Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and Concussion
When injured, the brain has a systemic inflammatory response that impacts a much larger area surrounding the injury. Flooding the brain with oxygen reduces swelling and opens new neuronal pathways. When the body and brain are infused with massive amounts of oxygen during hyperbaric treatment, damaged brain cells known as “idling neurons” can literally wake up and return to normal function.
Stroke
When cells in the brain die, either from trauma or lack of oxygen, blood plasma leaks out into surrounding brain tissue causing swelling and reducing blood flow. These otherwise normal cells go dormant because they can’t function without the appropriate amount of oxygen. Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy dramatically increases the oxygen carried in the blood plasma, making oxygen available to heal damaged capillary walls, preventing plasma leakage and reducing swelling. As the swelling decreases, blood flow can be restored to the dormant tissue (neovascularization) and these cells then have the potential to function again.
Dementia
Research Studies indicate that hyperbaric oxygen therapy can actually improve the pathology of Dementia or Alzheimer’s disease and correct behavioral deficits associated with the disease.

Migraine Headaches
The rationale behind using Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy for migraines and chronic headaches is that treatments increase cerebral blood flow, thereby delivering oxygen to areas of the brain which are thought to be hypoxic. Greater amounts of blood and oxygen stimulate cerebral tissues and aid in recovery of idling neurons. Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy also reduces swelling of brain tissues which aid in neurological function.
Cerebral Palsy
Children with anoxic or hypoxic brain injuries, such as cerebral palsy can see potential benefits using Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy by reducing brain inflammation, saturating damaged tissue, opening new pathways for the brain activity.
Cancer
While not a primary treatment, Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy can be used as an adjunctive treatment along with primary therapies including chemotherapy or radiation. Most Cancer cells require a hypoxic environment to replicate. Cancer cells have an altered metabolism and no longer depend upon oxygen. In fact, high oxygenated environments are toxic to most cancer cells and both slows their growth and triggers cell death mechanisms within them.
“By increasing the oxygen environment to the Cancer cells, it makes them less virulent, and in many instances destroys them”

Spinal Cord Injury
Depending on the severity of the injury, Hyperbaric oxygen therapy can improve motor function in patients with spinal cord injury. Studies indicate that hyperbaric oxygen therapy reduces apoptosis, down regulates aquaporin 4/9 mRNA and protein expression in injured spinal cord tissue, improves the local microenvironment for nerve regeneration, and protects and repairs the spinal cord after injury.
Fibromyalgia
This chronic pain syndrome can be accompanied by – and perhaps related to, other physical and mental conditions that include fatigue, cognitive impairment, irritable bowel syndrome and sleep disturbance. Clinical studies involving those diagnosed with fibromyalgia showed the painful condition improved in the majority of those who completed two months of hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
Chron’s and Colitis
According to multiple studies, most participants with Crohn’s disease had clinical improvements using HBOT, while virtually all patients with ulcerative colitis improved. This included a significant decrease in proinflammatory cytokines (IL-1, IL-6 and TNF-alpha) and in ulcerative colitis reported a decrease in IL-6.
Cardiac Problems
Medical professionals and hyperbaric scientists around the world have proven the benefits of applying Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy for the reduction of and actual reversal of many heart disease signs and symptoms.
Lyme Disease
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy is also used as an adjunctive therapy for treating Lyme Disease. The Lyme disease bacterium is “anaerobic,” which means that it cannot exist in high oxygen environment. By increasing oxygen levels within your body, treatment can assist in a reduction of the harmful bacteria.
“I have successfully treated hundreds of patients with hyperbaric oxygen therapy over the past twenty years. It improves the overall function of every organ in the body. Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy is the ultimate immune booster with unparalleled antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal properties.”
